The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Hon. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, has donated N1 million towards the establishment of the Eruwa Youth Movement (EYM) Digital Innovation and ICT Training Centre.

The donation is aimed at supporting the youth organisation’s efforts to establish a digital learning facility that will provide young people in Eruwa with access to information and communication technology (ICT) training and other digital opportunities.

The Eruwa Youth Movement, in a public appreciation and progress update signed by its President, Comrade Kazeem Tijani, and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Oluwafemi Ogunshola, expressed appreciation to Adedeji for his contribution to the project.

The organisation described the donation as a demonstration of Adedeji’s support for youth development and digital empowerment, noting that the contribution would assist efforts towards making the proposed ICT centre operational.

EYM stated that the proposed centre is intended to provide an avenue for young people to acquire relevant digital skills, access technology and improve their capacity to participate in the modern digital economy.

The organisation also disclosed that other individuals and community stakeholders had made financial and other contributions towards the project, while the Politics of Eruwa (POE) platform had commenced a separate fundraising initiative to provide a reliable power solution for the centre.

According to the statement, the power initiative is targeting N1.5 million for the upgrade of an existing inverter system to support the centre’s electricity needs.

The Eruwa Youth Movement reiterated its appreciation to Hon. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji for his contribution and expressed hope that the project would ultimately provide a sustainable platform for ICT training and digital skills development among youths in Eruwa.
