A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and aspirant for the Ibadan North-West/South-West Federal Constituency, Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo, has called on party members and supporters across Oyo State to remain calm, peaceful, and united as the party continues its internal democratic processes ahead of the forthcoming elections.
In a statement made available to journalists, Ogunbayo, popularly known as OJO, acknowledged the growing anxiety among party faithful over ongoing political developments but urged members not to allow emotions or personal interests to create division within the party.
According to him, the APC has continued to thrive on discipline, loyalty, unity, and respect for party leadership, stressing that these values must be upheld during the current political season.
He expressed confidence in the leadership of the party, noting that the APC remains committed to fairness, due process, and the collective interest of both the party and the people of Oyo State.
The aspirant warned against actions, comments, or activities capable of causing unnecessary tension or disunity among members, particularly supporters and coordinators across Ibadan North-West, Ibadan South-West, and other parts of the state.
Ogunbayo further emphasized that the party’s shared objective remains securing victory in future elections and supporting the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He stated that regardless of the outcome of the party’s internal processes, members must continue to see themselves as one family working toward strengthening democratic values and delivering good governance to the people.
The APC stalwart expressed optimism that the party would emerge stronger and more united through patience, understanding, and continued support for the party leadership.
He also urged members to remain law-abiding, hopeful, and committed to the continued growth and progress of the APC in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
