The Aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly (Ibadan North-West State Constituency), Hon. Oyeniyi Tunde Ibrahim, has declared strong support for the presidential ambition of Governor Seyi Makinde, as well as the governorship aspiration of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Oyeniyi made the declaration while lauding the success of the recently held PDP–APM Unity Mega Rally at the historic Mapo Hall, describing the gathering as a “defining moment in the evolution of a broader political coalition anchored on renewal and reform.”
According to him, the rally, which brought together stakeholders from both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), signals growing acceptance of the emerging “Reset Nigeria Movement,” which he said is aimed at repositioning governance and strengthening democratic participation across all levels.
He further described Governor Makinde’s presidential declaration as a bold step toward national leadership, insisting that the governor’s track record in infrastructure development, education, and governance reforms places him in a strong position for higher responsibility.
On the governorship ambition of Adekanmbi, Hon. Oyeniyi expressed confidence in her capacity to consolidate on ongoing developmental strides in Oyo State, noting that her emergence represents continuity and progressive leadership.
“The Unity Mega Rally has demonstrated that Oyo State is ready for political cooperation beyond party lines in the interest of development. We are fully aligned with the Reset Nigeria Movement and its vision for a better future,” he stated.
He called on residents of Oyo State and Nigerians at large to embrace what he described as a new political direction anchored on unity, inclusiveness, and sustainable development as the country prepares for the 2027 electoral cycle.
