Giwa made the declaration during the PDP-APM Unity Mega Rally held at the historic Mapo Hall, Ibadan, where Governor Seyi Makinde officially declared his presidential ambition under the platform of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM).
The rally, tagged “Reset Nigeria Movement,” attracted thousands of party faithful, political stakeholders, youths, women groups, and supporters from across Oyo State and beyond, creating an atmosphere of excitement and renewed political momentum.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the event, Hon. Giwa described Governor Makinde as a courageous, visionary, and result-oriented leader whose achievements in Oyo State have continued to inspire confidence among Nigerians seeking purposeful leadership.


According to the federal lawmaker aspirant, the growing support for Makinde’s presidential ambition is a reflection of the people’s desire for a new political direction anchored on competence, accountability, economic growth, and national unity.
He stated that Nigeria is in urgent need of transformational leadership capable of restoring hope to the masses, strengthening democratic institutions, and creating opportunities for young people.
