Comrade Omosalewa Sakirudeen Ogundiran has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Honourable Member representing Ona-Ara State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Ogundiran made the declaration in a statement addressed to party leaders, elders, stakeholders, youths, women, and residents of Ona-Ara, describing his ambition as a call to service rather than a personal quest for power.
According to him, the aspiration is driven by the desire to provide purposeful leadership, effective representation, and inclusive development across all wards and communities in the constituency.
He said Ona-Ara is blessed with human resources, culture, enterprise, and resilient people, but noted that greater progress can only be achieved through committed and people-focused leadership.
“The time has come for a representation that listens attentively, speaks courageously, and works tirelessly for the people,” he stated.
Ogundiran added that his experience in community development, youth mobilization, and grassroots leadership has prepared him for the task ahead, stressing that governance must be transparent, accountable, and development-driven.
He pledged that if elected, his legislative agenda would focus on people-oriented laws, youth empowerment, employment creation, quality education, rural infrastructure development, support for farmers and small businesses, as well as improved community security.
The ADC aspirant also promised to make governance more accessible and ensure every resident of Ona-Ara feels represented and included in decision-making processes.
“This aspiration is rooted in service, guided by integrity, and driven by a genuine passion to build a better life for Ona-Ara,” he said.
Ogundiran appealed to party leaders, stakeholders, and constituents for prayers, support, and partnership as he begins his journey toward securing the mandate of the people in the 2027 elections.
