A former Special Assistant in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Sekinat Adejumoke Ali, has formally resigned her membership of the party, citing a lingering internal crisis threatening the future of its members.


Ali, a member of Ward 5 in Ibadan North Local Government, made her decision known in a letter dated March 25, 2026, addressed to the Ward Chairman.

In the letter, she expressed dissatisfaction over what she described as a “persistent and unresolved political crisis” bedeviling the party.

“In view of the persistent and unresolved political crisis currently affecting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which poses a serious threat to the political aspirations of its members, I hereby tender my resignation from the party with immediate effect,” she stated.


Despite her exit, Ali conveyed her appreciation to members of Ward 5, Ibadan North Local Government, for the support, cooperation, and goodwill extended to her during her time in the party.
