
Councillors from Oyo State’s 2021–2024 set have pledged total support for Governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde’s administration and announced the formation of a reconciliation committee to strengthen unity within the councils.
This was contained in a report of an Executive and Emergency Meeting of the Leadership of the Councils, held on Monday in Oyo Town.
The leadership
of the forum led by Rt .Hon.Muili Kazeem Kolawole Arowodana, expressed satisfaction on the outcome of the meeting, which he described as successful based of various discussions that foster unity, stability and loyalty to the led Administration of His excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde , Governor of Oyo State.
“We are pleased to inform our members, that emergency Executive meeting being held today, here in Oyo, was a great success, we deliberated on many issues that concerns our forum ,and were able to arrived at a meaningful Conclusion, to foster Unity, progress and stability of our great forum, with emphasized loyalty to his excellence Engr. Seyi Makinde’s led Administration” he said.

Our Resolution…
(1) A Reconcilatory Committee was set up to reconcile all the Aggrieved and intending defecting members .
(2) That ,This set are not ready to lose any of its members to any other political parties except that of our leader, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde ( PDP).
(3) That Councilors Forum loop shall be for only activities of PDP Post.
(4) Reconciliatory Committee shall come from all the 14 federal Constituencies.
(5) That ,The Members of the Committees shall comprised both, returned and unreturned Hon Councilors
( 6) That, The Committee shall comprise 2 each from each local Government.
(7) The report of the Committee shall be giving to the office of the Hon Secretary of this great Forum, Hon Okunade Idowu for further processing and documentations .
(8) Zonal Coordinator shall be made to coordinate all the zones for the generation of all our Hon Colleagues names and Other information .
