Prince Adelaja Adeoye, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship candidate for the 2027 Lagos State election, has been invited to participate in the Lagos Governorship Candidates Hustings.

The non-partisan civic engagement event is scheduled for Friday, December 4, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos. It is convened by the AdvoKC Foundation and Nigeria Info FM, in partnership with civil society organisations.

Organisers said the hustings will bring together five leading Lagos State governorship candidates for structured, issue-based conversations. Expected participants include Adeoye of the APM, Obafemi Hamzat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Funso Doherty of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and Deji (Adedeji) Doherty of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Discussions will cover the economy and jobs, education, healthcare, infrastructure and transportation, environment, security and justice, youth and women’s development, and governance and accountability. The programme will combine curated policy conversations with an Open Mic session, allowing candidates to respond directly to questions from residents, young people, women, civil society groups, professionals, industry leaders and the media.

In the invitation letter dated 5 October 2026 and signed by Habib Sheidu, Project Director for AdvoKC and Nigeria Info FM, organisers described the event as an opportunity for Lagos residents to engage candidates on the policies, priorities and commitments that will shape the future of the state ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Adeoye, a real estate entrepreneur and the APM flagbearer, has previously outlined his “Atunto Eko” agenda focused on housing, jobs, power, healthcare and infrastructure. Hamzat, the current Deputy Governor, is the APC candidate; Rhodes-Vivour is the ADC standard-bearer, having run previously on the Labour Party platform, Funso Doherty carries the NDC ticket; and Deji Doherty is the PDP candidate.

The hustings is one of several public engagements being organised for the candidates as the 2027 campaign intensifies. The Lagos governorship election is scheduled for 6 February 2027.
