The Progressive Tradesmen and Artisan Association of Nigeria (PROTAAN) Youth Wing, Oyo State Chapter, has joined the government and people of Oyo State in celebrating the historic Oyo @ 50 anniversary, describing the week-long celebration as a landmark innovation and a first of its kind in the history of the state.
In a goodwill message issued to commemorate the golden jubilee, the association expressed deep appreciation to His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, for what it termed a laudable and visionary initiative that reflects purposeful leadership and commitment to inclusive governance.
Speaking on behalf of the Youth Wing, Comrade Dayo Adebisi MAN’D, Chairman of PROTAAN Youth Wing, Oyo State, applauded the governor for successfully institutionalising a well-structured anniversary celebration that highlights Oyo State’s rich heritage, achievements, and future aspirations.
Comrade Adebisi assured the Executive Governor and the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, under the leadership of Prince Adebowale Falana, of the association’s unwavering loyalty, continuous support, and readiness for deeper collaboration, both during the Oyo @ 50 programme and beyond.
He further commended Governor Makinde for consistently prioritising the welfare of the people, particularly youths, and for his commitment to appointing competent individuals into strategic positions to ensure effective and people-oriented governance across the state.
The PROTAAN Youth Wing Chairman also pledged the association’s total and undoubted support to the Chairman of the Oyo @ 50 Organising Committee, Hon. Saheed Akinade Fijabi, assuring that members of the association would remain actively supportive from the commencement to the conclusion of the celebratory programme.
The association PROTAAN under the leadership of Mogaji Salahudeen, President of PROTAAN and OMO’AJOROSUN concluded by offering prayers for the continued success of the Oyo State Government, the Agency for Youth Development, the Oyo @ 50 Organising Committee, and all members of PROTAAN Youth Wing, Oyo State, while wishing Oyo State a prosperous future beyond its golden jubilee.
