Prince Laja Adeoye, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship candidate in Lagos State, has congratulated all party candidates whose names appeared on the final list of candidates for the state, describing the development as a significant milestone in the party’s preparations for the 2027 general elections.

In a congratulatory message dated October 11, 2026, Adeoye said the candidates’ emergence reflected the confidence reposed in them by the party, affirming that those on the list were nominated on merit and in accordance with the party’s constitution and established procedures.

Declaring that the journey to political change had begun, Adeoye urged all APM candidates to commence full-scale campaigns across wards, local government areas and communities in Lagos State. He said the party must take its message of hope, competence and change directly to the electorate, stressing that the task ahead required determination, discipline and sustained grassroots engagement. “With this milestone behind us, the journey to reset Lagos, and Nigeria has truly begun,” he stated, calling on candidates to approach the campaign with confidence and a clear sense of responsibility.

The APM governorship candidate also emphasised the need for party members and candidates in Lagos to promote the presidential ambition of Engr. Seyi Makinde, urging them to take his campaign message to every part of the state. Adeoye expressed appreciation to party leaders, members, stakeholders and local government structures of both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and APM for their support from the inception of the political project. He called for unity and cooperation among the various groups, maintaining that collective commitment would be essential to the party’s campaign efforts.

Adeoye further urged party faithful to remain united, disciplined and focused as preparations for the elections intensify, expressing confidence in the potential of a coordinated campaign. “Lagosians are rooting for the APM. Let us not disappoint them. Together, we shall reset Nigeria and secure a better future for our state and our nation,” he said. He concluded his message by congratulating the candidates once again and declaring: “The work of RESET starts now.”
