… Makinde Daura Campaign Intensifies Consultations
The Lagos State governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Prince Laja Adeoye, has joined the South-West Coordinator of the Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Council, Olorogun Dr Eddy Olafeso, on a courtesy visit to prominent political leaders in Lagos as consultations gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The delegation, which visited the Atona Oodua and former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George, also met with Mama Onikepo Oshodi, Madam Kofo Bucknor-Akerele and Mama Aduke Maina, among other leaders. The engagement was aimed at strengthening relationships with key stakeholders ahead of the anticipated commencement of campaign activities in the South-West.

Speaking during the visit, Olafeso said the consultations were part of a continuing engagement with political leaders across the region, stressing that no stakeholder would be left out of the process. Adeoye’s participation underscored the Lagos APM campaign’s involvement in the broader consultations surrounding Governor Seyi Makinde’s presidential ambition and his proposed RESET Nigeria agenda.

Chief Bode George received the delegation warmly and described Makinde as courageous in his pursuit of national leadership, commending his efforts in developing Oyo State and improving its economy. Mama Aduke Maina also expressed confidence in Makinde’s capacity, arguing that his record in Oyo State could serve as a basis for his proposed national transformation agenda.
The visit forms part of the wider political consultations being undertaken by the Makinde Daura Presidential Campaign Council to engage leaders, stakeholders and citizens ahead of the 2027 elections. Adeoye and Olafeso’s engagement with the Lagos leaders is expected to sustain dialogue across political blocs as supporters of Makinde promote the RESET Nigeria agenda as their proposed alternative for national leadership.
