The Director-General of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Governorship Campaign Council in Oyo State, Adetayo Kesa, Esq., has congratulated Chief Yemi Aderibigbe, Esq., on his appointment as Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign and Mr. Nureni Adisa, Esq., on his appointment as Director-General of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) Governorship Campaign.
Describing their appointments as deserving recognitions of their experience and political capacity, Kesa wished both campaign directors-general success in the discharge of their responsibilities.
“As a member of the legal profession, I am particularly delighted that this important democratic exercise will have campaign councils coordinated by learned colleagues and distinguished seniors at the Bar. I have no doubt that the values that our noble profession represents;respect for the rule of law, civility, discipline, and fidelity to democratic ideals, will be reflected throughout the electioneering process.”
Kesa stressed that the forthcoming governorship election presents an opportunity for political parties to engage the people of Oyo State through the strength of their ideas, programmes, and leadership offerings.
“The people of Oyo State deserve campaigns that interrogate records, compare visions, and debate solutions to the developmental challenges confronting our state. The era of politics driven by violence, intimidation, or hooliganism has no place in the Oyo State of today.”
The ADC Campaign Director-General affirmed that his campaign council is fully prepared for a vigorous and issue-driven contest.
“On our part, we are ready to engage our colleagues across party lines in a robust but decent democratic contest. We shall vigorously market the exceptional leadership qualities, vision, competence, and transformational agenda of our governorship candidate, Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, whom we are convinced possesses the capacity and character to provide the purposeful leadership Oyo State deserves.”
He added that while political parties would naturally compete for the confidence of the electorate, such competition must remain within the bounds of decency and democratic responsibility.
“Our democracy is enriched when political opponents challenge one another with superior ideas rather than superior force. We owe the people of Oyo State campaigns that are intellectually engaging, politically mature, and conducted with mutual respect.”
Kesa concluded by expressing confidence that the electorate would ultimately judge all candidates on the strength of their character, competence, and vision for the future of Oyo State.

Adetayo Kesa, Esq.
Director-General
ADC Governorship Campaign Council
of Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke FCA.
