An Ibadan SouthWest Constituency I House of Assembly aspirant, Engr. Rasaq Olaide Oyebamiji (ROO), has congratulated Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro and Prince Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi on their recent appointments by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro was appointed as Special Adviser on Security, while Prince Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi emerged as Board Chairman of the Pacesetter Mineral Development Company.
In a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday, Oyebamiji described the appointments as well-deserved, noting that both appointees possess the experience, capacity, and commitment needed to contribute meaningfully to the continued development of Oyo State.
According to him, the appointment of Hon. Fagbenro would further strengthen the state government’s security architecture and support ongoing efforts toward maintaining peace and stability across the state.
“Hon. Fagbenro’s experience in security matters will be an asset in consolidating the administration’s efforts to sustain peace and protect lives and property across the state,” Oyebamiji stated.
Speaking on the appointment of Prince Arowosaye, the assembly hopeful said the solid minerals sector remains a major component of the state’s economic diversification agenda.
“I have no doubt that Prince Arowosaye will bring his wealth of experience to bear in repositioning the Pacesetter Mineral Development Company for greater productivity and revenue generation,” he added.
Oyebamiji further urged the newly appointed officials to justify the confidence reposed in them by Governor Makinde through dedication, transparency, and effective service delivery.
He also encouraged them to work closely with relevant stakeholders and grassroots communities in order to achieve impactful results in their respective offices.
The appointments are part of Governor Makinde’s recent strategic moves aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing service delivery in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
