Reacting to the judgment, PDP House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency, Mayegun Sunday Olusegun Babanumi, said the verdict will not shake the confidence of loyal party members in Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership. “The Supreme Court is an extended branch of the APC government. Don’t expect anything different, but we know who the end from the beginning of their political buffoonery”.
“This judgment cannot discourage our confidence and trust in Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership and vision,” Babanumi stated this today while addtessing his teeming supporters at his ward 8 in Ibadan..
According to the ebullient politicians, “Governor Makinde has shown capacity, fairness, and commitment to due process. The judiciary has spoken on a procedural issue. Our loyalty to the party and to the visionary leadership of His Excellency Gov. Seyi Makinde remains unshaken.”
Babanumi noted that the PDP in Oyo State remains united under His Excellency Gov.Seyi Makinde, adding that the ruling reinforces the need for internal democracy and respect for the rule of law.
“My slogan is ‘Ajosee ni Ajooje’ – collective effort brings collective benefit. We will close ranks much more now, gives stronger support to our leader, Governor Seyi Makinde, despite that we will obey the courts, and continue to build a stronger PDP that delivers for the people,” he said.
