As Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, celebrates one year in office as Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, commendations have continued to pour in over what supporters describe as a year of compassionate and people-centered leadership.
Among the stories highlighted in celebration of his first anniversary is that of Mr. Elijah Oyekale, whose return to service has been described as a symbol of justice, restoration, and renewed hope.
According to admirers of the chairman, Mr. Oyekale, a Level 9 Accountant, spent nine years under suspension, a period said to have brought severe hardship to his family. During the difficult years, his wife reportedly became the major support system of the household, catering for family needs and paying school fees.
They noted that through the intervention of Bashorun Akinwole, Mr. Oyekale was reinstated and resumed duty, bringing an end to years of uncertainty.
Supporters said the decision not only restored the civil servant to his position but also revived his dignity and enabled him to once again provide for his family.
