A young aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Oyo State House of Assembly in Ibadan NorthWest Constituency, Oyeniyi Tunde Ibrahim (OYE), has commended Governor Seyi Makinde, saying the governor has continued to demonstrate exemplary and emulating leadership through his recent activities and governance style.

Oyeniyi, in a statement issued on Saturday, said a closer study of Governor Makinde’s recent engagements reveals a leader committed to peace, development, inclusion, and strategic governance.

According to the PDP aspirant, the governor’s peaceful consultative approach and commitment to consensus building have continued to promote unity within the party and ensure political stability across Oyo State.

He also praised Makinde’s recent presentation at the Harvard Kennedy School, describing it as a strong testament to the governor’s growing national and international recognition.

“Governor Makinde’s presence at Harvard Kennedy School reflects the quality of leadership Oyo State is offering. It shows that competence and good governance are being noticed beyond Nigeria,” he said.

Speaking further, Oyeniyi applauded the administration’s commitment to tourism development and future expansion plans, noting that the sector has the potential to generate revenue, attract investors, and create employment opportunities for residents.

He also commended the recent opposition summit hosted in Ibadan, describing it as another indication of the governor’s political maturity, influence, and commitment to democratic engagement.

The assembly hopeful pledged his continuous loyalty to the PDP and support for Governor Makinde’s leadership, assuring that young party members remain committed to sustaining the administration’s progressive agenda.

“I remain fully committed to our great party and loyal to the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde. His achievements continue to inspire many young people across the state,” Oyeniyi stated.

He further urged stakeholders to create more political space for youths in Oyo State, especially in Ibadan NorthWest Local Government, stressing that young people must be encouraged to participate actively in governance and decision-making processes.

According to him, empowering youths politically will strengthen democracy and guarantee a brighter future for the state.
