The Estate Rent and Commission Agents Association of Nigeria (ERCAAN), Oyo State chapter, has charged its members to uphold the highest standards of professionalism while strengthening collaboration with the state government to curb fraud and improve security within the housing sector.

The call was made during a mega rally held in Ibadan, where members of the association gathered in large numbers to demonstrate solidarity and reaffirm their support for the administration of Seyi Makinde.

Addressing participants at the event, the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Bayo Lawal, commended ERCAAN for its proactive role in sanitising the real estate space. He emphasized the need for estate agents to operate with integrity and align with government efforts aimed at eliminating fraudulent practices and enhancing safety in property transactions.

He described the rally as a remarkable show of voluntary support for the current administration, noting that ongoing infrastructural development—especially in road construction—continues to boost property values and drive economic growth across the state.

In his remarks, the Oyo State Chairman of ERCAAN, Mr. Okekunle Morakinyo, stated that the rally was organised not only to promote unity among members but also to appreciate the strides recorded by the Makinde-led government in advancing the real estate sector and overall development of Oyo State.

He reiterated the association’s commitment to professionalism and pledged continued cooperation with the government in ensuring a more transparent, secure, and thriving housing market.
