Mayegun Sunday Olusegun Babanumi, aspirant for the Federal House of Representatives, Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency, has reaffirmed his support for the leadership of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
Extolling the governor’s leadership qualities, Babanumi referenced Makinde’s strategic positioning of Oyo State as a virile hub for economic and political development.
He commended the administration’s infrastructural strides across roads, education, and health facilities, as well as its people-oriented programmes, describing the impact as “the impressive Omituntun magic wand” that has transformed governance in the state.
Babanumi stated that he shares the same loyalty, accountability, and deep commitment to the people of Oyo State with Governor Makinde, with particular focus on Ibadan North West and Ibadan South West Federal Constituency.
He reiterated his disagreement with consensus candidacy, noting that the practice “will allow mediocrity to continue in governance” and undermine true democratic choice.
The people of Ibadan North West and Ibadan South West Federal Constituency have continued to express their love and desire for Mayegun Babanumi’s representation of their hopes and aspirations at the National Assembly in Abuja, due to his astuteness and compassion for the economic and human capital development of his people.
