The Oyo State Councillors Forum, led by Rt. Hon. Ayodeji Oladepo, on Thursday staged a massive solidarity walk in support of Seyi Makinde, reaffirming their unwavering loyalty to his administration.
The councillors, drawn from various local government areas across the state, converged in a show of unity and commitment to the continued leadership of the governor. During the walk, the Forum also unveiled a new slogan: “Seyi Makinde lo l’Oyo, Seyi Makinde l’Oyo O ṣe,” which echoed throughout the procession as participants chanted in support.
Speaking on behalf of the Forum, Rt. Hon. Ayodeji Oladepo emphasized that the solidarity movement was a clear demonstration of the councillors’ confidence in Governor Makinde’s governance style, developmental strides, and people-oriented policies.
He noted that the administration of Seyi Makinde has continued to deliver dividends of democracy across key sectors, including infrastructure, education, and healthcare, thereby earning the trust and admiration of grassroots political actors.
Oladepo further reiterated that the councillors remain resolute in their support for the governor, pledging to sustain mobilization efforts at the grassroots level to ensure continued peace, stability, and progress in Oyo State.
The solidarity walk attracted significant attention from residents, party faithful, and stakeholders, further reinforcing the growing political backing for Governor Makinde’s administration across the state.
