Oluyedun Family Lauds Makinde, LG Chairmen, Ibadan Property Ltd for Immortalising Oba Oluyedun

The Oluyedun Family has expressed deep appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde, Eleven  Local Government Chairmen in Ibadan, the Chairman of the company, Honourable Kehinde Akande and the General Manager of Ibadan Property Development Limited, Sir Surveyor Morawo Michael Oludele, for immortalising the late Oba Oluyedun.

The honour comes through the naming of the Land Estate located at Alaho, Aba Nla, in Oluyole Local Government Area, after the late monarch. In a statement released on Tuesday, the family described the gesture as a mark of respect for Oba Oluyedun’s contributions to traditional leadership, peace-building, and community development in Ibadanland.

According to the family, the decision by Governor Makinde and the leadership of Ibadan Property Company Limited to name the estate after Oba Oluyedun who was the first Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land from Ibadan  will preserve his legacy and serve as an inspiration to future generations on the value of service and integrity. The family also commended the Eleven Local Government Chairmen in Ibadan for their collective support for the initiative.

The Land Estate at Alaho, Aba Nla is part of the ongoing planned housing and land development drive of Ibadan Property Company Limited in Oluyole Local Government Area. The project is aimed at expanding access to titled land, decongesting the Ibadan metropolis, and driving organized physical development in the council area.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Honourable ‘Tunde Oluyedun who represented the Mogaji Oluyedun ; Dr. Hamid Adediran Oluyedun noted that the immortalisation of Oba Oluyedun was not just a family honour but a recognition of the role traditional institutions play in the growth of Oyo State. The family pledged continued support for government and private sector initiatives that promote orderly development and community progress.

Ibadan Property Company Limited, is owned by the Eleven Local Government Councils in Ibadan and is charged with estate development and property management across the metropolis.
