A strong political wave is building in Ibadan South-West as leaders and stakeholders from Ward 5 have unanimously endorsed Engr. Rasaq Olaide Oyebamiji (ROO) as their preferred candidate for the Ibadan South-West State Constituency I seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
The endorsement, described by party insiders as both strategic and symbolic, signals a renewed push by Ward 5 to assert its relevance in the political dynamics of the constituency ahead of the 2027 elections.

A native of Apena Gege in Ibadan South-West Local Government, Oyebamiji is said to possess a deep understanding of the constituency’s needs, having maintained consistent engagement with the people over the years.
“Engr. Rasaq Olaide Oyebamiji is not new to the system. He has paid his dues within the party and at the local government level. His loyalty, experience, and capacity stand him out as the right man for the job,” a party chieftain from the ward stated.
