The Nigerian Military Veterans and Comrades for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) have officially endorsed Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo as their preferred candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency.

The endorsement, announced at the group’s national office in Abuja, signals the commencement of coordinated mobilisation efforts across Oyo State ahead of the forthcoming elections.

National Coordinator of the group, Veteran Siza Kenneth, described Ogunbayo as a leader with the capacity and vision required to effectively represent the constituency at the National Assembly. He noted that Ogunbayo’s track record in both the private and public sectors aligns with the group’s commitment to supporting credible leadership in line with the agenda of President Tinubu.

According to him, the endorsement goes beyond symbolic support, as members of the Oyo State chapter have already begun implementing a structured campaign strategy aimed at driving grassroots engagement and voter awareness.

With a strong network of members across the state, the group has directed its supporters to intensify community outreach, mobilization drives, and advocacy efforts to ensure widespread acceptance of the candidate within the constituency.

Kenneth further emphasized that the group remains committed to translating its endorsement into electoral success, stressing that members have been mobilised to actively participate in the campaign process.

The endorsement, he added, reflects the organisation’s broader objective of promoting accountable and result-oriented leadership at all levels of government, while backing candidates who demonstrate integrity and dedication to public service.

The Oyo State chapter of the group also called on residents and stakeholders within Ibadan North-West and South-West Federal Constituency to support Ogunbayo’s candidacy, urging unity and collective action to achieve victory at the polls.

Meanwhile, the group encouraged interested members of the public to engage with its state leadership for further information and participation in its activities, reaffirming its commitment to disciplined advocacy and grassroots-driven political engagement.
