Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo, APC aspirant for the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, has called on Nigerians particularly residents of his constituency to embrace the enduring values of love, unity, and sacrifice as Christians celebrate the Easter season.
In his Easter message, Ogunbayo described the season as a powerful symbol of hope, renewal, and selfless service, stressing that its significance goes beyond festivities to a deeper call for purposeful living and collective responsibility.
“Easter reminds us that no matter the trials we face as individuals and as a nation, there is always hope for victory and renewal. It is a season to rededicate ourselves to service, compassion, and unwavering faith in a better tomorrow,” he said.
The lawmaker hopeful noted that the resurrection of Jesus Christ represents triumph over adversity, a message he described as highly relevant to the current socio-economic realities facing Nigeria and the people of Ibadan.
He urged citizens to reflect on the true meaning of Easter and take deliberate steps toward contributing to societal growth and development, emphasizing that the country is at a critical point where unity and shared sacrifice are essential.
“Our nation is in dire need of healing—economically, socially, and even morally. This is the time for all of us to rise above division and commit, in our own capacities, to building stronger, safer, and more prosperous communities,” Ogunbayo added.
He further highlighted the need for peace, tolerance, and inclusiveness, calling on Nigerians to look beyond ethnic and religious differences in pursuit of the common good.
Describing Easter as a season of transformation, Ogunbayo encouraged residents of Ibadan North-West and Ibadan South-West to translate the spirit of the celebration into meaningful actions that uplift their communities.
“Let this season awaken in us a renewed passion to love without limits, to give without hesitation, and to build with purpose. Together, we can create a constituency and a nation we are all proud of,” he concluded.
