The Councillor representing Ward 7, Ibadan NorthWest Local Government, Hon. Ridwan Ogun has made a strong declaration of loyalty to the party and leadership despite recent controversies surrounding his legislative role.
Hon. Ogun, who was suspended on March 11, 2026, following allegations of gross misconduct, negligence of legislative duties, and an unresponsive attitude toward grassroots development, has taken steps to reaffirm his commitment. The suspension, enacted by the legislative arm of the council, was in response to a petition accusing him of failing to effectively represent his constituents and neglecting responsibilities expected of him as a local government legislator.
In a show of dedication and resolve on April 1st 2026, Hon. Ogun donated ₦100,000 to the party, signaling continued support for the party’s mission and agenda in Oyo State. He also publicly reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde, the leadership of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government, and the broader party structure.
Reaching out to the media on his renewed commitment, Hon. Ogun emphasized that despite past challenges, he remains devoted to contributing positively to the development of his community, and supporting the policies and leadership that have brought progress to Ibadan NorthWest and Oyo State.
