As preparations intensify for the much-anticipated 2026 convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo (OJO), a leading aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, has issued a powerful goodwill message—further cementing his emergence as a strong grassroots-driven political figure in Oyo State.
The convention, scheduled for March 27–28, 2026, at Eagle Square, Abuja, marks a critical milestone for the party as it seeks to strengthen unity, refine strategies, and shape Nigeria’s political future. With the theme “Building Nigeria’s Future, Together!”, the event is set to draw key party leaders, stakeholders, and delegates from across the country.
In his message, OJO reaffirmed his dedication to the progressive ideals of the APC while expressing firm support for the “Renewed Hope” agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He stressed the importance of continuity, innovation, and governance that prioritizes the needs of the people.

“This convention is more than a gathering—it is a defining moment for Nigeria’s future. As we meet in Abuja, we must renew our commitment to unity, service, and purposeful leadership, which are the core values of our party,” OJO stated.
Highlighting his strong grassroots connection, OJO emphasized inclusive participation and community-focused development as key pillars of his political vision—principles that continue to shape his growing influence across Ibadan.
“Our strength lies in our people. Grassroots voices must remain central in shaping policies and leadership decisions. I am fully aligned with the Renewed Hope vision and committed to representing the aspirations of our constituents at the national level,” he added.
Political analysts view OJO’s timely intervention and clear alignment with the party’s national direction as a strategic effort to consolidate support ahead of the 2027 general elections. His active engagement, youthful dynamism, and grassroots appeal position him as a credible and formidable contender for the constituency.
As proceedings continue at Eagle Square, OJO urged APC members, stakeholders, and Nigerians to stay engaged with the convention and remain committed to strengthening party unity and advancing national development.
With 2027 drawing closer, it is becoming increasingly evident that OJO is not just part of the political conversation—he is steadily positioning himself to lead it.
