Aspirant for the Federal House of Representatives, Ibadan North-West/South-West Constituency, Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo (OJO), has called for greater unity among Nigerians, stressing that national development can only be achieved when citizens rise above divisive tendencies.

Ogunbayo, said communities such as Ibadan North-West and Ibadan South-West, as well as the nation at large, must prioritise unity over differences rooted in politics, religion, and social background.

According to him, Nigeria’s diversity should serve as a source of strength rather than a tool for division, noting that the essence of leadership is to serve the people and improve their standard of living.

“Too often, politics is used to create division among the people, but the true purpose of leadership is service, development, and uplifting the lives of citizens,” he said.

The aspirant emphasised that embracing a shared identity and common destiny would foster peace, progress, and sustainable development across communities.

He further advocated an inclusive leadership approach that listens to the people and ensures fair representation, regardless of political affiliation or social status.

“No community should be left behind, and no voice should go unheard. The future we desire is achievable when we work together in unity,” Ogunbayo added.

He urged residents of the constituency and Nigerians in general to remain focused on collective growth and prosperity, insisting that unity remains the nation’s greatest strength.
