A leading governorship aspirant in Oyo State under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Barrister Niyi Aborisade, popularly known as BANA, has congratulated Muslim faithful in Oyo State and across Nigeria on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri 2026, marking the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
In a statement released on Friday through his Media Office, Aborisade praised Muslims for their steadfastness, discipline, and devotion throughout the 30-day fasting period, noting that their sacrifices embody the core Islamic virtues of patience, faith, and selflessness.
“We pray that more blessings will abound through the faithful religious observances and prayers offered,” he said, urging the faithful not to relent in acts of charity and devotion even as they celebrate with loved ones.
The ADC chieftain also called on Muslims to seek divine guidance for sustained peace, progress, and prosperity in Oyo State and Nigeria, stressing that unity and collective prayers remain vital tools for overcoming socio-economic challenges and strengthening national cohesion.
He further appealed to the Muslim Ummah to remember leaders at all levels in their prayers, emphasizing the need for wisdom, integrity, and a renewed commitment to good governance.
Reaffirming his political aspiration, Aborisade pledged to implement people-oriented policies and programmes if elected, assuring residents of purposeful leadership.
“Happy Eid-el-Fitri to all Muslims. May the blessings of this season bring peace, joy, and prosperity to our homes, communities, and our beloved state,” he added.
