
Hon. (Chief) Akindipe Hammed Abiodun Akinsunbo, MPA, popularly known as Igba-Otun and Supervisory Councillor for Works in Ibadan North West Local Government, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan 1447AH and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a goodwill message, Chief Akinsunbo, who also holds the revered traditional title of Mayegun of Eleyele/Arometa, congratulated the Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North West Local Government, Alhaji Rahman Adepoju, and the entire Muslim community in the council area and the state at large.
He described the end of Ramadan as a period of deep spiritual significance, urging adherents of Islam to sustain the virtues of piety, sacrifice, tolerance, and generosity imbibed during the fasting period.
“Eid-el-Fitr offers us another opportunity to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan and recommit ourselves to the service of humanity. I felicitate with our leaders, party faithful, and the Muslim Ummah in Ibadan North West and across Oyo State on witnessing this year’s celebration in good health and renewed faith,” he said.
Chief Akinsunbo also called for continued prayers for peace, unity, and socio-economic progress in Oyo State and Nigeria, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in nation-building.
He urged residents to celebrate responsibly and extend love and support to the less privileged, noting that the essence of Eid lies in sharing and compassion.
He wished all Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
