The party hopeful for Ibadan NorthWest/SouthWest Federal Constituency, Aare (Hon) Dr Dawood Olalere D-Al-Ameen who is the only ADC member of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ibadan North-West State Constituency has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) remains the best political option for Nigerians seeking inclusive governance and people-centred leadership.
The lawmaker made the assertion while addressing political developments in the state and the growing interest in the ADC among grassroots supporters across Oyo State.
According to him, the ADC provides a platform that prioritizes the welfare of ordinary citizens, encourages participatory democracy, and gives room for credible leaders to contribute meaningfully to governance.
D-Al-Ameen explained that his decision to align with the party was influenced by the need to continue championing the interests of the people and ensuring that politics remains a tool for development rather than personal ambition.
“ADC is a party that provides opportunity for genuine participation. It allows leaders to connect directly with the people and focus on programmes that truly benefit the grassroots,” he said.
The legislator emphasized that democracy thrives when citizens are given the freedom to support leaders based on their performance, credibility, and vision rather than merely on party affiliations.
He added that political parties should serve as vehicles for development and platforms through which the needs of the people are addressed.
Reflecting on his experience in public service, D-Al-Ameen noted that his political career has always been driven by empowerment initiatives, youth development programmes, and efforts aimed at improving the livelihoods of residents within his constituency.
He maintained that these efforts would continue under the ADC platform as part of his commitment to people-oriented leadership.
D-Al-Ameen therefore urged residents of Ibadan North-West, Ibadan South-West, and other parts of Oyo State to actively participate in the democratic process by registering with political parties and ensuring they possess their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
He encouraged citizens who share the vision of inclusive governance and grassroots development to join the ADC, describing the party as a growing platform for progressive political engagement.
The lawmaker concluded by expressing optimism that the ADC would continue to attract credible personalities and committed supporters who are passionate about the future of the state and the country.
