An All Progressives Congress (APC) hopeful for the Ibadan NorthWest/Ibadan SouthWest Federal Constituency, Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo, popularly known as OJO, has called for unity among residents while emphasizing the need for purposeful leadership and grassroots transformation.
In a statement issued in Ibadan, the APC aspirant said the constituency deserves focused, responsive, and visionary representation that will prioritize the welfare and development of the people.
According to him, leadership should not merely be about occupying a political office but about responsibility, accessibility, and delivering measurable results that directly impact the lives of constituents.
Ogunbayo noted that development projects, empowerment initiatives, and federal opportunities must reach the grassroots, stressing that effective representation should ensure that the benefits of governance are felt by ordinary citizens.
“I believe in a politics that is inclusive, transparent, and people-centered. Our people deserve leadership that prioritizes youth empowerment, women’s economic participation, improved education, better healthcare, and sustainable community development,” he stated.
The APC hopeful further urged residents across the wards and communities within the constituency to unite and work together toward building a stronger and more progressive future.
He maintained that meaningful progress can only be achieved when leaders and citizens collaborate as partners in governance, calling on supporters and well-wishers to actively promote the vision of development and accountability.
“This is the time to come together across wards, communities, and backgrounds to build a stronger future for our constituency. Real progress happens when leaders and citizens work together,” Ogunbayo added.
He also encouraged supporters to spread the message of unity, engage positively in political activities, and invite others to join a movement rooted in integrity, service, and development.
Ogunbayo expressed optimism that through collective commitment and unity, the constituency can achieve significant progress and improved representation at the federal level.
“Together, we can create meaningful change. Together, we can strengthen our constituency. Together, we move forward,” he said.
