Oyo ADC NASAA Hold High-Level Meeting With Governorship Hopeful Akim Adebola Yusuff

A delegation of the ADC National and State Assembly Aspirants (NASAA), Oyo State Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to governorship hopeful, Hon. Akim Adebola Yusuff, at his residence as part of efforts to strengthen unity and strategic collaboration within the party ahead of forthcoming elections.

The visit, which also featured an Iftar gathering, brought together key stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state to deliberate on the future of the party and pathways to electoral victory.

Speaking during the meeting, the Southwest Coordinator of NASAA, Hon. Giwa, expressed appreciation to Hon. Yusuff for hosting the delegation at his residence. He noted that the engagement was important for fostering unity and charting a progressive path for the party in Oyo State.

According to him, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss strategies that could position the ADC to win the forthcoming elections while strengthening internal cooperation among party members.

Speaking during the meeting, the Southwest Coordinator of NASAA, Hon. Giwa Saheed Olamilekan, expressed appreciation to Hon. Yusuff for hosting the delegation at his residence. He noted that the gathering provided an opportunity for party leaders and aspirants to discuss the progress of the party and strategies that could position the ADC for victory in the forthcoming elections.
Similarly, Hon. Olulade from Ido Local Government commended Hon. Yusuff for his courage and determination, expressing confidence in his capacity to rescue Oyo State from what he described as political “shenanigans.”


In her contribution, Hon. Mrs. Akinpelu Omolara from Oluyole Local Government praised the governorship hopeful for his efforts toward ensuring unity within the party. She noted that his ambition is not driven by personal interest but by a commitment to the overall progress and victory of the ADC.

Delivering the vote of thanks, Hon. Aina Oludayo, Acting Secretary of NASAA from Ido Local Government, appreciated Hon. Yusuff for inviting members of the association to the Iftar gathering at his residence and for creating a platform that allowed party aspirants to interact and strengthen ties..

Leading the team is the Southwest Coordinator of NASAA, Hon. Giwa Saheed Olamilekan, who is also an aspirant for the Ibadan North East Constituency II seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly.

Other members of the delegation include Hon. Kehinde Oladimeji, an aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly (OYHA) representing Atiba Local Government, and Hon. Akinpelu Omolara, an aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly from Oluyole Local Government.


Also present was Hon. Olunlade Saheed Olawale, an aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly from Ido Local Government, as well as Hon. Adeniran Olaide Ishola, who is aspiring to represent Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.


The list further includes Hon. Osuolale Francis Babatunde, an aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly from Ona-Ara Local Government; Hon. Timothy, an aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly from Oorelope Local Government; and Hon. Femi Ajayi, an aspirant representing Irepo Local Government for the OYHA seat.


Others are Hon. Adeboye Isaac, an aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ibadan North West, and Hon. Aina Oludayo, an aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ido Constituency, who also serves as the Acting Secretary of NASAA in the Southwest zone.

In his remarks, Hon. Akim Adebola Yusuff highlighted his past records and leadership experience, explaining the reasons behind his gubernatorial ambition. He called on members of NASAA and other stakeholders within the party to support his candidacy in order to strengthen the ADC and improve its chances in the elections.
Also speaking, Hon. Timothy from Igboho reflected on past political experiences, stressing that unity and cooperation among party members remain crucial for the growth and success of the party.

The meeting concluded with renewed commitments from participants to work together in strengthening the party’s structure and positioning the ADC for success in future elections.
