Following the weekly meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan NorthWest Local Government of Oyo State, the hopeful Assembly aspirant, Hon. Oyeniyi Tunde Ibrahim (OYE), has reaffirmed that the party remains united and firmly in control of its political structure.

Oyeniyi dismissed rumours of defection by some PDP members, describing the development as insignificant and incapable of affecting the party’s strength in the local government.

According to him, the turnout and active participation of stakeholders at the weekly gathering clearly demonstrated that the PDP remains solid and cohesive in Ibadan NorthWest.

“There is no vacuum in our party. The PDP structure in Ibadan NorthWest is intact, functional, and growing stronger by the day. Those who left do not represent the true strength of our movement,” he stated.

He reiterated that Ibadan NorthWest remains loyal to the PDP and committed to the leadership and developmental vision of Governor Seyi Makinde, whose administration, he said, continues to deliver dividends of democracy across the state.

He also used the opportunity to applaud the governor on the upgrade of Ibadan Airport to International standard which accommodates trips from Ibadan to London.

Oyeniyi urged party faithful to remain focused and undistracted by political rumours, emphasizing the need for unity, grassroots mobilization, and sustained support for the PDP ahead of future electoral engagements.

Once Again, he wishes the party members a season of reflection which is healthy.
