A frontline youth rights advocate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan NorthWest Local Government and Secretary of The GSMists, Hon. Ganiyu Kamal, popularly known as GreatKamal, has called on party faithful to use the spiritual season of Ramadan 1447AH to pray fervently for unity, stability, and progress within the party.
In his Ramadan message to members and supporters across Oyo State, GreatKamal emphasized the importance of reflection, sacrifice, and devotion as Muslims around the world observe the holy month. He noted that Ramadan presents a unique opportunity for members of the PDP to seek divine intervention over the lingering party cases and leadership issues confronting the party at various levels.
According to him, beyond fasting and prayers, the season should inspire members to recommit themselves to the ideals of loyalty, discipline, and collective responsibility. He urged PDP members, particularly in Ibadan NorthWest, to remain calm, steadfast, and unwavering in their support for the party despite ongoing internal challenges.
GreatKamal specifically called for prayers for the leadership of the party in Oyo State, especially the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, whom he described as a pillar of strength and stability for the PDP in the state. He stressed the need for wisdom, resilience, and divine guidance for the governor and other party leaders as they navigate the current political landscape.
He further appealed to members not to be distracted by temporary disagreements, noting that internal challenges are part of democratic growth. “This is a season of spiritual renewal. Let us pray for our party, for our leaders, and for lasting unity. If we stand firm and united, the political gains shall be for all accurately and adequately,” he stated.
Reaffirming his commitment to youth development and party cohesion, GreatKamal encouraged young party members to remain active, law-abiding, and supportive of the PDP’s structure at the grassroots.
He concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful a peaceful and rewarding Ramadan, expressing hope that the prayers offered during the holy month would usher in renewed strength and greater victories for the PDP in Oyo State and beyond.
