Honourable Kehinde Giwa, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives hopeful for the Ibadan NorthWest/SouthWest Federal Constituency, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for donating a state-of-the-art secretariat to the Oyo State chapter of the PDP.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony of the newly completed party secretariat in Ibadan, Hon. Giwa described the gesture as a landmark intervention that would strengthen the PDP’s institutional framework and enhance its operational efficiency across the state.
According to him, the ultramodern secretariat represents more than a physical structure, noting that it symbolizes Governor Makinde’s enduring commitment to party development and internal cohesion. “This ultramodern secretariat is a game-changer for our party. It will significantly boost coordination, engagement, and effectiveness at all levels,” Giwa stated.
The PDP chieftain further praised Governor Makinde’s leadership style, emphasizing that the governor has consistently matched words with action since assuming office. He disclosed that the governor has remained steadfast in fulfilling promises made to party stakeholders, ensuring sustained growth, relevance, and unity within the PDP in Oyo State.
“From the day he assumed office as Executive Governor of Oyo State till this present moment, Governor Seyi Makinde has not failed on his mandate to strengthen the party. His contributions have been instrumental to the continuity and relevance of the PDP, not only in Oyo State but also within the broader Nigerian political space,” Giwa added.
The commissioning ceremony attracted party leaders, elected officials, stakeholders, and supporters from across the state, who collectively hailed the secretariat as a new hub for strategic planning and grassroots mobilization ahead of future political engagements.
Hon. Giwa concluded by urging party members to reciprocate the governor’s generosity with unity, loyalty, and renewed commitment to the ideals of the PDP.
