Honourable Prince Rotarian Abdulateef Adesola Jaiyeoba, a former Councillor in Ibadan North West Local government and Vice Chairman of Community Development Council Ekotedo, has been conferred with the Islamic title of Giwa Adeen of Idi-Oro Central Mosque in Ibadan, Oyo State, in recognition of his contributions to Islamic propagation, community development, and humanitarian services in the area.
The Islamic title and honour was conferred on him, on Sunday as he was turbaned as the Giwa Adeen of Idi-Oro, Ekotedo mosque, in Ibadan to further recognized his relentless sacrifice and consistent contributions to the propagation of Islam.
The colourful and memorable event which featured varieties of programs including recitation from the Holy Quran, Madiu Nabiy, Islamic musical performances, among others played host to arrays of distinguished personalities spanning religious organizations, community leaders, political office holders, business moguls, just to mention but few
Lateef Jaiyeoba, who was past councilors in Idi-Oro ward alongside 13 others was decorated in recognition of their unwavering commitment to the progress of the mosque while four standout individuals was honored with special award of recognition.

The Zonal missioner of Nasirulahi-il fatihu (NASFAT), USA zone and branch missioner Houston Texas, who described the occasion as not just a mere merriment but a recognition from Almighty Allah charged the new chiefs as well as the awardees to keep working towards the progress of Islam while also extend undiluted service to humanity.
Hon. Jayeoba express his delight over what he described as a rare privilege of singling out among the multitude, stated that the new role is a call to serve Allah and propagate his mission globally, he vowed that he will never renege but rather double his contributions so as to maintain his relevance.
He commended the leadership of Idi-Oro mosque for their thoughtful and timely engagement which according to him will serve as a motivation not only to the new chiefs but entire Ekotedo Muslim community.
The Chairman Ibadan northwest local government, Hon. Abdulrahaman Adepoju who graced the event as a special guest of honor described Hon. Jayeoba as a devoted Muslim who has been consistent in the process of Projecting Islam and a loyal servant that has always strive for the progress of his people and betterment of his community
The Baba Adinni of Idi-Oro mosque, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Shorinmade appreciated all and sundries who graced the memorable event despite the situation of the country and their tight schedule, the gesture he said means lot to the committee and the entire Ekotedo Muslim community.
Alhaji Abdulrasheed highlighted that the occasion would not only boost the course of Islam but will as well facilitate Unity which has been shaky among Muslim ummah in Ekotedo Muslim community,
he further wished everyone journey mercy back to their various destinations
The highlights of the events is the decoration of the turbanees, presentation of certificates and as well handing over the staff of office to Hon. Jayeoba as the new Baba Adeen of Idi-Oro mosque
