

As part of ongoing consultations and grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State, a leading aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has met with members of the G9, G64 and key party stakeholders across Ibarapa Land, where he formally declared his intention to contest for the office of Governor of Oyo State.

The strategic meeting, which drew prominent party leaders and stakeholders from the zone, provided an opportunity for the aspirant to outline his vision for the future of the state and seek the support and guidance of party structures at the grassroots level.



During the engagement, he presented his newly released book, Our Realistic Tomorrow: A Blueprint of Leadership and Progress for Oyo State, describing it as a comprehensive document that captures his policy direction, leadership philosophy and practical roadmap for repositioning Oyo State. According to him, the book reflects his commitment to purposeful leadership, inclusive governance and sustainable development.

He explained that his ambition is driven by the urgent need to rescue Oyo State from stagnation and restore hope to the people through people-centred policies. He highlighted key focus areas of his proposed administration to include economic empowerment, improved security, quality education, accessible healthcare delivery and massive infrastructural development across all zones of the state, including Ibarapa Land.
The aspirant used the occasion to seek the counsel, partnership and support of the G9, G64 and other APC stakeholders, assuring them that his leadership would prioritise grassroots development, unity within the party and collective ownership of governance. He reaffirmed his belief in the APC as the most credible platform for delivering progressive governance and meaningful development to the people of Oyo State.
In their responses, members of the G9, G64 and Ibarapa APC stakeholders warmly received the aspirant, commended the clarity and depth of his vision, and encouraged him to sustain consultations with party structures and community leaders as preparations for 2027 continue.
They described his engagement as timely and strategic, urging him to remain consistent in his outreach and commitment to party unity and development-driven politics.
Expressing gratitude for the reception and constructive engagement, the aspirant stated his confidence that with unity, sincerity and commitment, Oyo State can be repositioned for growth and progress. He added that the collective efforts of party stakeholders and the people would be key to building “a realistic tomorrow” for the state.
