
The Honourable Member representing Ibadan North-West State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Dawood Akanni Olalere (D-Al-Ameen), has extended warm New Year greetings to his constituents, the people of Oyo State, and Nigerians at large, urging them to embrace unity, hope, and collective responsibility as the year 2026 begins.
In a New Year message made available to the press, Hon. Olalere described the New Year as a period of reflection, gratitude, and renewed determination to work together for peace, progress, and sustainable development across the state and the nation.
The lawmaker expressed deep appreciation to Almighty God for the gift of life and divine protection throughout the outgoing year, noting that despite economic and social challenges, the resilience and perseverance of Nigerians remain a strong pillar for national advancement.
Hon. Olalere called on residents of Ibadan North-West and Nigerians in general to approach the New Year with optimism, tolerance, and a renewed spirit of unity, stressing that meaningful development can only be achieved when citizens put aside differences and work together for the common good.
He reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation, people-oriented legislation, and responsive oversight, assuring his constituents of continued dedication to policies and initiatives that will improve social welfare, infrastructure, and grassroots development within Ibadan North-West State Constituency.
The lawmaker also commended the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde for his sustained efforts toward good governance and inclusive development in Oyo State, while encouraging residents to continue supporting government programmes aimed at improving the quality of life of the people.
