Festive Season: Ibadan North-West House Leader, Hon. O’leke Spreads Joy with Worth of Largesse

In a heart-warming demonstration of compassionate leadership and grassroots commitment, the Leader of the Ibadan North-West Legislative House and Councillor representing Ward 9, Hon. Oluwagbemileke Gbadamosi Nelson, affectionately known as O’leke, has brought cheer and relief to his constituents during the festive season with the distribution of food items and cash support worth over ₦700,000.

The benevolent gesture saw Hon. O’leke distributed 22 chickens alongside over ₦200,000 in cash directly to residents, while additional financial support extended the total value of the outreach to more than ₦700,000, reaching vulnerable individuals and families across Ward 9 community.

The festive intervention, described by beneficiaries as timely and impactful, was aimed at cushioning the economic pressures faced by residents during the Yuletide season, while reinforcing the spirit of love, sharing, and unity that defines the period.

Speaking during the distribution, Hon. O’leke noted that the gesture is to commitment the efforts of the state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde and local government chairman Alhaji Rahman Adepoju in their unwavering commitment to people-centred representation, stressing that their leadership is best measured by the well-being of the people.

He also hinted that the gesture was a modest way of giving back to the community that entrusted him with their mandate.

“This season reminds us of the power of kindness and collective responsibility. My priority remains the welfare of Ward 9 residents, not just during festivities but at all times,” he stated.

Community leaders, youth groups, women associations, and residents of Ward 9 lauded the lawmaker for his consistent accessibility, generosity, and responsive leadership, describing him as a true servant-leader who leads with empathy and action.
