Olabisi Habibat Afolabi, popularly known as OLABAT, has congratulated the newly inaugurated executive officers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ward 12, Ibadan SouthWest Local Government Area of Oyo State, charging them to remain firm, united and steadfast in the discharge of their duties.
The PDP Ward 12 executives were formally inaugurated on Thursday, 18th December 2025, in a symbolic ceremony that underscored the party’s commitment to grassroots leadership and internal democracy.
The inauguration was led by the Chairman of PDP, Ibadan South-West Local Government, Hon. Kunle Folarin, who performed the symbolic handover of the party flag to the newly elected Ward Chairman, Hon. Micheal Omotosho, and other members of the executive council, on behalf of the PDP Oyo State.
Speaking after the inauguration, OLABAT, a notable PDP stakeholder in Ward 12, congratulated the new leadership on their well-deserved emergence. She urged the executives to uphold party discipline, loyalty and service to the people, stressing that their roles are critical to strengthening the PDP at the grassroots level.
She further charged the executives to remain resolute in preaching and expanding the ideals of the PDP across the ward, while consistently showcasing and promoting the impactful governance and developmental strides of Governor Seyi Makinde in Oyo State.
According to her, sustained grassroots mobilisation and effective engagement with the people will further consolidate the PDP’s dominance and deepen public confidence in the party’s vision for inclusive development.
The inauguration marked a new chapter for PDP Ward 12, with party faithful and stakeholders presence at the event, expressing optimism that the new executives will deliver purposeful leadership and enhanced party cohesion.
