Hon. Chief (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, widely known as OTOPE, has been announced as the Icon of Ibadan Heritage by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) for the 2026 Ibadan Cultural Festival.
The distinguished recognition, slated for official conferment on December 13, 2025, celebrates Dr. Oladimeji’s notable service to humanity and his impactful contributions to the progress and development of Ibadanland.
Responding to the honour through his Special Assistant on Media, Segun Akinlabi, Dr. Oladimeji expressed deep appreciation to CCII for finding him worthy. He described the award as a significant encouragement to continue championing humanitarian causes, cultural preservation, and the core values that uphold the identity and legacy of Ibadan.
He also extended gratitude to the leadership and entire membership of CCII for acknowledging his efforts, reaffirming his commitment to community advancement, empowerment programmes, and sustainable development initiatives across the region.
