OLABAT Commends Gov Makinde & PDP Stakeholders As She Attends NCOC Publicity and Communication Sub-Committee Inaugural Meeting

The Publicity and Communication Sub-Committee of the National Convention Organizing Committee (NCOC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held its inaugural meeting on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the NCOC Secretariat, Legacy House, Shehu Shagari Way, Maitama, Abuja.

The meeting, chaired by the Executive Governor of Bauchi State and Chairman of the Sub-Committee, His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed, was officially convened through a statement signed by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, Secretary of the Publicity and Communication Sub-Committee.

In attendance were notable members of the committee, including Afolabi Olabisi Habitat OLABAT, a member representing Oyo State and the Woman Coordinator of The GSMists, a progressive political movement inspired by Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership philosophy.

After the meeting, OLABAT commended His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, for his exemplary inclusiveness and the privilege extended to youths in Oyo State’s political space. She noted that Governor Makinde’s administration continues to inspire young people to participate in governance and political development across the state and beyond.

She further expressed appreciation to Hon. Lukman Olajide (Royal Umbrella), Chief Coordinator of The GSMists; Prince Oluyinka Tella, Coordinator of The GSMists; and Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, the Vice Chairman of PDP, Oyo State, for their continuous guidance, mentorship, and support toward youth involvement in the PDP structure as she is being shortlisted and participated in the committee.

OLABAT, who hails from Ward 12, Ibadan SouthWest Local Government Area of Oyo State, also lauded the Executive Chairman of Ibadan SouthWest Local Government for his developmental strides and unwavering commitment to grassroots leadership.

The meeting marked a significant step in the party’s preparation for the 2025 Elective National Convention, as members of the sub-committee strategized on effective communication frameworks, media engagement, and publicity plans to ensure a transparent and well-coordinated convention process.
