Leading the delegation, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jacob Babayemi, extolled Senator Buhari’s unparalleled role in the establishment of the institution, describing him as the chief catalyst whose legislative courage and relentless advocacy turned a long-awaited dream into a tangible reality. For decades, Oke-Ogun region had suffered the absence of federal presence, but today, through the instrumentality of Senator Buhari’s bill, the story has changed for good.
Indeed, to sponsor and successfully push a bill for the establishment of a federal university through the National Assembly and to see it approved, operational, and thriving is no small feat. It demands dedication, political wisdom, and genuine love for one’s people. Senator Buhari AbdulFatai, a man of vision and valor, demonstrated these attributes in full measure.
