Hon. (Chief) Akindipe Hammed Abiodun Akinsunbo, popularly known as Igba-Otun and the Supervisory Councillor for Works in Ibadan NorthWest Local Government, has extended his heartfelt felicitations to two newly elected executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State—Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, the new State Deputy Chairman, and Hon. Lukman Adesina, Ex-Officio I.
In his goodwill message, Chief Akinsunbo, who also holds the revered chieftaincy title of Mayegun of Eleyele/Arometa in Ward 11, Ibadan NorthWest, described their emergence at the PDP Oyo State Congress held on September 30, 2025, as a testimony of good leadership, loyalty, and dedication to the growth of the party.
He noted that both Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke and Hon. Lukman Adesina have consistently demonstrated qualities of integrity, grassroots connection, and capacity to drive unity within the PDP family, qualities he said will further strengthen the party ahead of future elections.
Chief Akinsunbo also commended Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for providing a level playing ground for democracy to thrive within the party, stressing that the successful conduct of the congress is another validation of Makinde’s leadership style built on fairness, inclusiveness, and progress.
“The emergence of credible leaders like Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke and Hon. Lukman Adesina is not just a victory for our party, but also a victory for the good people of Oyo State who are direct beneficiaries of Gov. Makinde’s visionary leadership. It is a clear testimony that the PDP remains the beacon of hope for sustainable development and inclusive governance,” Akinsunbo stated.
The newly elected PDP Oyo State executives, led by Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro as State Chairman, are expected to consolidate on the gains of the Makinde administration and reposition the party for greater electoral success across the state.
