Tallest Innocent, has commended delegates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State for the peaceful and successful conduct of the state congress, which he described as “carnival-like and historic.”
In a goodwill message released to newsmen at the Adamasingba Stadium, venue of the congress, Hon. Tallest praised the steadfastness and commitment of party delegates, noting that they demonstrated maturity, unity, and loyalty to the ideals of the PDP throughout the exercise.
He further applauded the pragmatic and inclusive leadership style of Governor Seyi Makinde, whom he described as the driving force behind the stability, progress, and growth of the PDP in Oyo State and beyond.
Hon. Tallest congratulated the newly inaugurated state executive members of the party, urging them to uphold the trust reposed in them and to work diligently towards ensuring electoral victories for the PDP in the 2027 general elections and in future contests.
According to him, “The new executives must always remember the legacy they are inheriting. Their emergence is a call to service, and they should emulate Governor Seyi Makinde’s inclusive leadership over the past six years. The people of Oyo State, the PDP family, and indeed Nigerians at large are looking up to Oyo State PDP to consolidate on the gains of Governor Makinde’s administration and deliver more dividends of democracy.”
As SSA on Community Relations (Igbo Community), Hon. Tallest stressed the importance of inclusiveness, teamwork, and accountability within the party structure, adding that the PDP remains the party to beat in Nigeria.
He reaffirmed his loyalty and that of the Igbo Community to the PDP, expressing optimism that the new executives will build on the solid foundation already laid, thereby strengthening the party’s dominance across the country.
