The Ibadan NorthWest 9th Legislative Assembly has extended warm and heartfelt felicitations to His Imperial Majesty, His Excellency Oba (Sen.) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, FNSE (Arusa I), on the historic occasion of his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, which coincided with the celebration of his 81st birthday.
In a congratulatory message delivered through the Leader of the House, Hon. Oluwagbemileke Gbadamosi Nelson, fondly called O’leke, the Assembly described Oba Ladoja’s enthronement as a divine blessing and a monumental moment in the history of Ibadanland.
Hon. O’leke, on behalf of the entire legislative assembly, lauded the Olubadan’s unwavering commitment to the progress, peace, and unity of Ibadan, noting that his reign promises to usher in renewed cultural pride, stability, and socio-economic development for the ancient city.
“Oba Ladoja is not just a monarch but a statesman, a leader of leaders, and a symbol of integrity whose lifetime contributions to politics, governance, and community development remain indelible,” Hon. O’leke stated.
The Assembly further prayed for long life, sound health, and a peaceful reign for the revered monarch, urging the people of Ibadanland to rally around their new Olubadan in unity and loyalty.
