Hon. Suleiman Hamidu Ajibade, a 2027 House of Representatives hopeful for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, has extended a heartfelt tribute to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his enthronement as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a statement released to the press, Ajibade described the coronation as a fulfillment of destiny and a renewal of hope for the people of Ibadanland, which he hailed as the cradle of warriors and guardians of heritage.
He noted that the Olubadan stool remains a sacred symbol of unity and tradition, carrying the weight of history and cultural pride. Drawing from his own royal lineage as the heir of Oba Salawudeen Hamidu Ajibade, the Ashipa of Ibadanland and Eekata Olubadan of Ibadanland, Ajibade emphasized his deep appreciation for the revered institution.
“Your ascension, Kabiyesi, is a beacon that assures us of peace, wisdom, and prosperity. May your reign be long, illustrious, and blessed with justice that uplifts the common man, wisdom that preserves our culture, and strength that unites Ibadan sons and daughters at home and abroad,” he said.
Ajibade further pledged the loyalty of his family, political associates, and the people of Akinyele and Lagelu to the Olubadan throne, while praying for a reign marked by peace and progress across Ibadanland.
He concluded with a traditional salute to the monarch: Kabiyesi, Kade pe lori, ki bata pe lese, ki irukere pe lowo.
