Prince Adelaja Adeoye has extended heartfelt felicitations to Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, following his emergence as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

In a goodwill message, Prince Adeoye described the ascension of the former governor and Otun Olubadan to the revered throne as a historic moment for Ibadanland and the Yoruba nation at large.

He noted that having grown up in Ijebuland, where he was deeply exposed to the values of kingship, heritage and tradition, he fully understands the weight of the responsibility now placed on Oba Ladoja.

“Otun-Olubadan Ladoja ascending to the highest stool of Ibadanland represents not just the enthronement of a king but also the continuity of culture, history, dignity and hope,” Adeoye said.

The prince prayed for long life, sound health, wisdom and courage for the new Olubadan, while urging the people of Ibadan to rally around their monarch in loyalty and respect.

“Tradition does not fail; culture does not mislead. If we stand with Oba Ladoja, Ibadan’s kingship institution will not only endure but thrive as a model for other Yoruba towns,” he added.

Highlighting the significance of the moment, Adeoye stressed that the installation of Oba Ladoja is not merely about an individual’s rise to kingship but about preserving continuity and safeguarding the values of leadership rooted in humility and service.

“Oba Ladoja now carries the legacy of a city renowned for its resilience, industry and pride. May his reign be long, peaceful and prosperous,” Adeoye concluded.
