The Progressive Tradesmen & Artisans Association of Nigeria (PROTAAN) Youth Wing, Oyo State Chapter, has officially announced its upcoming Summit 5.0, slated for Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Iba Oluyole Hall, Oja-Oba, Ibadan, Oyo State.
This year’s edition is themed: “Building Confidence Through Skill Acquisition”, underscoring PROTAAN’s steadfast commitment to equipping artisans and tradesmen with the practical knowledge, technical expertise, and self-assurance required to excel in Nigeria’s dynamic economy.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Oyo State Chairman of PROTAAN Youth Wing, Comrade Dayo Adebisi Man’D, emphasized that the summit would provide a unique platform for interaction, capacity development, and networking among artisans, policymakers, and other key stakeholders in the vocational sector.
“The Summit 5.0 will not only highlight the importance of skill acquisition as a tool for economic development, but also inspire our members to embrace self-reliance, creativity, and innovation towards national growth,” Adebisi stated.
The gathering is expected to attract participants from within and outside Oyo State, including dignitaries, government officials, and industry professionals who will share insights on strengthening the contributions of artisans and tradesmen to Nigeria’s development.
