In her continued commitment to grassroots development, the Supervisory Councillor for Women Affairs in Ibadan NorthWest Local Government, Hon. Grace Ifeoma, on Thursday, organized an empowerment programme for residents of the council area.
The event, which was held at the Salvation Army, Ibadan, witnessed the distribution of cash support to constituents aimed at boosting small-scale businesses and alleviating economic hardship.
Hon. Grace expressed her gratitude to the Chairman of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government, Hon. Rahman Adepoju, the Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Hon. Wasiu Adeleke, as well as other key stakeholders whose support has continued to strengthen grassroots initiatives in the local government.
She emphasized that the empowerment initiative was designed to complement the efforts of both the local and state governments in improving the living conditions of the people.
Commending the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his visionary leadership and inclusive governance, Hon. Grace noted that the programme aligns with the Governor’s people-centered agenda and the PDP’s broader mission of sustainable development across Oyo State.
Beneficiaries of the programme lauded her for the thoughtful intervention, praying for more strength and capacity to continue serving the people.
