Staff Verification Exercise is not to Witch-Hunt Civil Servants – LGSC Chairman Reiterates

The Oyo State Local  Government  Service  Commission (LGSC) Chairman,  Basorun Akinwale Solomon Akinwole  has reiterated  that the  on-going  staff verification exercise across  Local Government in  the state  was never to  witch-hunt any staff  but to ensure  adequate  provision  for staff  welfare.

He  made the declaration  at the  on-going staff  verification  exercise  for staff of  Ibadan Northwest Local Government, held at the Council secretariat Onireke, Ibadan.

Basorun Akinwole on behalf of his  board  members maintained  that  their visit  to all  the 33 local governments in the state for the verification  exercise  was to ensure discipline, assess compliance to service rules, evaluate the working atmosphere and to authenticate the number of staff on the payroll of the Councils across the State.

The LGSC Chairman  affirmed that the present administration  under  the leadership  of His Excellency,  Engr Oluwaseyi Abiodun  Makinde  is working  assiduously to  provide  a conducive  working   environment   for all civil servants in the state  hence the need for all staff   to reciprocate  the gestures by being  steadfast  in their    schedules  of duties and abide by the rules and regulations  guiding their chosen  careers.

After  words of admonition  from  the Commission Chairman, the screening exercise was conducted for all the staff  of  Ibadan NorthWest Local and Okebadan North LCDA  respectively.

The LGSC  Chairman, Basorun Akinwole and his  entourage were received onbehalf of  the  Executive Chairman of the Council by the  Head of the Local Government Administration (HLGA) Mrs Rachael Olabode, Ag.HLGA of Okebadan North LCDA  Mrs Folashade  Kumuyi and all Heads of Departments  from  Ibadan Northwest LG and Okebadan North LCDA.
